Loading Technique

1.	Wipe out the barrel to remove excess oil
2.	Fire a cap to clear the nipple
3.	Hold the gun with your weak hand and pour the correct charge of powder into the barrel
4.	Place a lubricated patch on the muzzle
5.	Place a ball on top of the patch
6.	With a short starter, push the ball into the muzzle
7.	Push the ball fully home onto the powder charge. Mark your ramrod as a visual check on subsequent shots that the ball is fully home.
8.	Point the pistol horizontally downrange and bring the hammer to half cock
9.	Place a cap on the nipple
10.	Bring the hammer to full Cock
