Post Production

Having got your bullets, what next. If you're casting round balls. then they should be ready to shoot as cast, but if you're casting Minie bullets they'll need sizing and lubricating. You can forget about lubing machines here, as 577 is too big for any of them. The only sizing devices available are manual ones where you push the bullet through a fine bored steel tube of exactly the diameter you want. You can get these from Dixie Gun Works or Pedersoli or Peter Dyson. If you need an oddball size then Peter Dyson is the man to see as he'll quite happily make it for you. Pedersoli ones should be generally available at most dealers as they're now imported by Viking Arms and Dixie Guns can be ordered by phone from the states - or by talking to Peter Dyson who will sell you a copy of their catalogue and do the ordering for you if you want.

Once done, store the bullets somewhere safe abd use them up fairly quickly, because strangely enough Lead actually hardens with age!

The don't forget to clean and oil your moulds, and put them away till next time.
